Dr. Seneca Vahun

L.Ac., DACM Licensed Acupuncturist & Founder

Seneca’s journey to healing began in service. A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and former Army officer, she experienced firsthand the effects of chronic stress on the body. That realization sparked her lifelong pursuit of balance and holistic wellbeing.

After completing her military service, Seneca earned her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco and her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York. She is a National Board–Certified Acupuncturist and Herbalist.

Continuing her studies through the Institute of Classics in East Asian Medicine, Seneca integrates ancient Han dynasty wisdom with modern clinical practice to help patients heal from pain, stress, and emotional imbalance. She also volunteers with the Survivor Advocacy Network (SAN), supporting those navigating PTSD and trauma through the gentle power of Eastern Medicine.

Our Healing Mission

Restore function. Ease pain. Awaken self-knowledge.

At Seneca Healing Elements, our vision is to inspire, empower, and educate every person to know their body's innate wisdom and capacity for healing.

We believe that:

  • Healing happens when we create the right conditions

  • Your body already knows how to heal sometimes it just needs support

  • True wellbeing emerges from balance, not perfection

  • You are the expert on your own experience

Benefits of In-Home Care for You

  • No travel when you're exhausted or in pain

  • Time to rest after treatment without rushing to your next obligation

  • Flexibility to schedule around your life, not clinic hours

Why Home Visits?

Healing Requires Comfort

True healing requires more than technique - it requires trust, comfort, and space to let go. By bringing acupuncture to your home, I eliminate the stress of travel and waiting rooms, creating an environment where deep healing can occur.

Beyond Acupuncture

While acupuncture is the foundation of treatment, Chinese medicine offers a comprehensive approach to health.

Treatment is always personalized. What you need may be different from what another person needs, even with similar symptoms.

Herbal Medicine

Customized formulas to support your healing between sessions

Dietary Therapy

Nutrition guidance based on Chinese medicine principles

Lifestyle Counseling

Practical strategies for stress reduction, sleep, and daily rhythms

Cupping & Gua Sha

Additional modalities for pain relief and circulation (when appropriate)

Community & Service

Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Vaughn volunteers with organizations close to her heart.
Board Service:

World Affairs Council of Kentucky & Southern Indiana

The Nature Conservancy, Kentucky Chapter

Survivor Advocacy Network: Supporting survivors of military sexual trauma through acupuncture and healing modalities. Trauma-informed care for those on their recovery journey.
